Where else but Taco Bell can you get your car washed for the cost of 10 nonperishable food items?
On Sept. 19, 45 people did just that, coming to a Taco Bell in Seymour, Ind., for a fundraising car wash sponsored by Staff Management | SMX and The Sunflower Studio. With a donation of food items or cash, attendees received a wash from among the 20 volunteers and were able to help feed needy children in the process. The groups brought in nearly $500 and more than 500 food items that could be used to make breakfast or lunch, like cereal, breakfast bars, oatmeal, macaroni and cheese, pasta and pasta sauce. Staff Management | SMX also had information on jobs available in the community.
“The event was a total success,” said Staff Management | SMX Director of Operations Erin DeWeese. “We had so many great volunteers from Staff Management and The Sunflower Studio and their families. Everyone was very excited to help the community and get their cars clean.”
The event was another in a series of community events that the Staff Management | SMX offices in southern Indiana have hosted or participated in, both to give back to the community and help connect people and work.
