SMX associate pays it forward

What would you do if you found money or a wallet laying in a walkway on your way into work? For Heaven Shouse (pictured above center, with Account Manager David Saucedo (left) and First Shift Supervisor Torreya Tongate), a Staff Management | SMX associate in Texas, that wasn’t a hypothetical. It happened as she went to work at a manufacturing client site in April.

As she walked up the walkway to the building, she saw a cash on the ground. But she didn’t think twice.

“I asked myself, ‘What if this was someone else’s last dollar?’” she said, before turning it into the Staff Management | SMX office at the site. “I knew it was the right thing to do.”

Because of her selflessness and responsibility, the sales and operations rewarded her with a $500 gift card and thanks from client and Staff Management | SMX leadership.

“Heaven was so emotional and very humbled and grateful when we presented her with the gift card during a regular team meeting,” said David Saucedo, Staff Management | SMX Account Manager over the site. “She was not expecting this at all, but she very much deserves it for putting others first and making sure that the lost money and wallet was returned to its owner.”
