Winners to Be Celebrated During Virtual Ceremony on June 30
CHICAGO – April 29, 2021 – Staff Management | SMX, a leader in the staffing industry, won a Bronze Stevie® Award in the Most Valuable Corporate Response category in The 19th Annual American Business Awards® for its use of drive-thru hiring events to interview and hire people safely, the company announced today.
When citing what set Staff Management | SMX apart from the competition in the Most Valuable Corporate Response category, judges commented that it was “one of the most innovative and valuable strategies” and that “providing a safe way to continue meeting business employment demands while providing employment opportunities during the pandemic is invaluable.”
Since the pandemic began, Staff Management | SMX has hosted drive-thru hiring events across five states and hired hundreds of people, many on the spot. Applicants could complete applications online using Staff Management | SMX’s Stafftrack® mobile solution before driving to the site. They parked and interviewed through an open window or outside with proper social distancing and masks. The recruiting team also wore masks and used hand sanitizer and disinfectant spray. The events focused on essential businesses and areas hard hit by unemployment.

The awards were chosen from a pool of more than 3800 nominations from companies of sizes, across many industries and locations across the United States. More than 250 professionals worldwide participated in the judging process to select this year’s Stevie Award winners.
