CHICAGO – Oct. 14, 2020 – Staff Management | SMX, a leader in the staffing industry, was named a finalist for the HRO Today Association’s 2020 Awards in two categories in the North America Region: Engagement Strategy Excellence and Innovation in HR Technology.

Staff Management | SMX was honored for its Stafftrack® mobile solution, a proprietary hiring and workforce management tool that helps companies hire faster and more precisely, while also driving operational improvement and efficiency. Stafftrack® released a new mobile app for workers this year and served as the engine for Staff Management | SMX’s drive-thru hiring events, which have helped people across five states apply for jobs, interview safely and often get hired on the spot. Applicants could complete applications online using the Stafftrack® mobile solution before driving to the site. They parked and interviewed through an open window or outside with proper social distancing and masks. The recruiting team also wore masks and used hand sanitizer and disinfectant spray. The events focused on essential businesses and areas hard hit by unemployment.

“Companies and workers both want the ease and convenience of technology to fill jobs and manage their work,” said Carl Schweihs, president of TrueBlue’s PeopleManagement division, which oversees Staff Management | SMX. “Stafftrack® allows us to continually manage applications, hiring and workforce management for our clients, while offering a simple, easy-to-use interface for workers. I am incredibly proud of our Staff Management | SMX teams for their hard work in finding new ways to apply technology to the ever-changing world of work and I congratulate them on this well-deserved honor.”

More than 50 companies were nominated across 12 categories. The winners will be selected at a virtual awards reception on Nov. 17.

“We were so impressed by the examples of dedication, collaboration, and innovation that help advance the industry and ultimately improve the way people work,” said Renee Preston, Global Executive Director of the HRO Today Association. “Recognition from the HR industry’s standard-setting organization is a true accomplishment and all the finalists for the HRO Today Association Awards program are truly leaders in their field, dedicated to excellence in the human resources profession.”
